Excerpt from the Lovin Lebanon Podcast

Host: Let’s talk about holistic health. Many people might have a perception of what that means. From your perspective, Dr. Bartlett, how do you define holistic health?

Dr. Bartlett: Holistic health is about looking at the whole person—physical, mental, social, and spiritual wellness. Instead of just identifying what’s wrong, I focus on what’s not right in their lives, examining factors like inflammation, digestion, hormones, and nutrition.

Host: That sounds comprehensive. What do you typically ask patients during consultations?

Dr. Bartlett: I usually start with the basics: How are you sleeping? How are your bathroom habits? Are you staying hydrated? Getting these foundational elements right often leads to significant improvements.

Host: So, it sounds like your approach complements traditional medicine rather well. How did you first get involved with holistic medicine?

Dr. Bartlett: I’ve always been interested in healthcare. Growing up here in Lebanon, Indiana I knew I didn’t want to go into the family funeral business. I pursued chiropractic care and eventually got additional training in bioenergetic medicine, homeopathy, and nutrition.

Host: That’s quite a journey! Now, let’s talk about some of the services you offer. I’ve seen terms like acupuncture and PEMF therapy. Can you explain those a bit?

Dr. Bartlett: Of course! PEMF stands for Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy. It’s essentially cellular exercise that helps your cells better absorb nutrients and eliminate toxins. Many people find it beneficial for pain relief, better sleep, and enhanced energy levels.

Host: That sounds intriguing! And what about acupuncture?

Dr. Bartlett: Acupuncture is about restoring balance in the body. I focus on specific meridians and points to help alleviate various ailments. It’s a personalized approach based on what the patient is experiencing.

Host: For those who might be hesitant about needles, what would you say to reassure them?

Dr. Bartlett: It’s all about the mindset. Acupuncture aims to help your body find its equilibrium, and most people find the experience relaxing rather than intimidating.

Host: If someone is interested in your services, what does the consultation process look like?

Dr. Bartlett: During the initial consultation, I gather information about your health history and current lifestyle. We’ll discuss what’s on your mind, and I’ll provide personalized recommendations, which could include nutrition advice, homeopathy, or therapies like acupuncture or PEMF.

Host: And if someone just wants to dive into acupuncture or PEMF therapy, can they do that without a consultation?

Dr. Bartlett: Yes, absolutely! Those services are available without prior consultation if someone feels ready to try them.

Host: Fantastic! If people want to learn more about you or schedule an appointment, where should they go?

Dr. Bartlett: You can visit my website at drbethbartlett.com. You can also reach me via email at drbeth@drbethbartlett.com or call 765-360-8360. We’re also active on Facebook!

Host: Thanks so much for sharing all this valuable information, Dr. Bartlett. We appreciate you being back in Lebanon and helping our community.
