Course Meat

Ingredients

  • Hamburger patties (ground beef or turkey burger)
  • 1 head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 large can of Muir Glen fire-roasted tomatoes
  • 2 stalks of celery, chopped
  • broth (chicken or vegetable)
  • Bragg’s Liquid Aminos, to taste

Instructions

  • Grill the Burgers: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the hamburger patties to your preferred level of doneness, then set them aside to rest.
  • Prep the Cabbage Surprise: While the burgers are cooking, chop the cabbage and celery.
  • Simmer the Veggies: In a large pot, combine the chopped cabbage, celery, and the full can of fire-roasted tomatoes (with their juices). Pour in enough Pacific broth to partially submerge the vegetables.
  • Season and Stew: Add Bragg’s Liquid Aminos to taste. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, covering the pot, and let it cook until the cabbage and celery are beautifully tender.
  • Assemble and Serve: Place your hot, grilled burger patty in a shallow bowl or plate and smother it with a generous helping of the warm cabbage surprise. Enjoy it together as a complete meal!
